La Costa Limousine is proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary this year! As we look back over three decades of serving the San Diego area, we are honored to have loyal, long-term clients who keep coming back to us for their transportation needs. It’s particularly fun to be able to provide them with special-occasion transportation such as on weddings and anniversaries.
A La Costa Client From the Beginning
One such client is Neville Laatsch, who was La Costa’s very first client. He hired us 30 years ago for his and his wife Jan’s 30th wedding anniversary and just recently booked with us again to celebrate their 60th anniversary! We sat down with Neville to find out why La Costa is an important part of his family’s special moments.
Neville told us that he had known about La Costa Limousine “before they were even La Costa.” His son Mark was friends with La Costa co-founders Rick Brown and Dale Theriot in high school and young adulthood, and Neville got to know Rick and Dale well, even playing golf together now and then.
Years of Memories
When it came time to take Jan out to celebrate their 30th anniversary, Neville did not hesitate to book a trip with La Costa. He remembers riding in La Costa’s Lincoln Town Car and dining at Anthony’s Fish Grotto. Over the years, he and Jan continued to hire La Costa for both business transportation and special events. For their 50th anniversary, Neville and Jan invited their family to accompany them in an eight-passenger limo. And just a few weeks ago, they booked an eight-passenger limo for their trip to Addison at Grand Del Mar to toast to 60 years of marriage.
Why La Costa?
Neville says he trusts La Costa with the important moments in his life because he loves the personalized service; it takes a special event to the next level. He is also a fan of our updated fleet and the focus on safety by our well-trained staff. It’s one of the things that has kept him coming back for a number of years, because we are always focused on our service, our fleet, and the safety of our clients.
A Personal Note
We had just intended to talk with Neville about his experience with La Costa as a special-occasion transportation provider, but he made it clear his loyalty runs much deeper.
Neville shared that his family lost their home in a wildfire in 1996. At the time, he was working in Florida and rushed back to California. La Costa’s Rick Brown volunteered to pick him up next morning from the airport to take him back to their home. Rick made sure to keep the news media away from the family while they were at the home. Neville said he “cannot express enough how thoughtful and professional Rick was and is. He helped our family through a difficult time.”
The Laatsches have since rebuilt their home and live at the same address they did in 1996. Neville says that it has been exciting for him to watch La Costa grow and prosper to become the preferred limo service of San Diego. His message to Rick and La Costa Limousine: “Congratulations on 30 years! Jan and Neville wish you continued success.”
Thank you for your years of patronage and friendship, Neville and Jan! We are already looking forward to helping your celebrate your 70th anniversary!
